How we utilise architectural visualisation
Architectural visualisation is a huge part of our business. We make 3D CGI images affordable to all. From small extension projects to larger housing developments. All clients get the same treatment to a full 3D model as standard, that is used to demonstrate the design proposals. Take a look at this blog post to see how, and why we use a 3D model to present design to our clients. Walkington Extension Blog Post
We appreciate that is hard sometimes to visualise what the end result will look like when just looking at 2D plans and elevations. This is why we utilise the latest software such as AutoDesk Revit, to be able to produce these 3D models by default in our process. Below is an example of a 3D model that we create for all our projects.
Case study example
A short case study of why we went the extra mile when producing visuals for a private client. This particular project was a single storey barn conversion. An important factor for the client was trying to understand how natural light from the sun would move around her new barn. With the added large windows to take advantage of the views out to the field, we also needed to understand how light would benefit from these large areas of glazing. This tasks for us was simple. Demonstrate to the client how the sun will travel from east to west around her new home. The following short animation is exactly how we presented this.
This animation was created using an existing 3D model we had created, as part of the design process. Visualisation software was used to animate the sun around the home, and create the cinematic shots.
We recommend Lumion3D for creating architectural visualisation!
Another creative way we like to showcase the proposals to the client is by creating interactive full 360 degree panoramic visuals. Now that is a long name! Have a look at this example below we created for a garage conversion project.
How we help Developers and Estate Agents
In addition to helping our private clients visualise the design, we also have developer clients and estate agents we work with to produce CGI images to help aid the marketing processes. Lets take a look at another project example. We were asked by a developer to produce CGI street scene images of his new housing development project. These images would then be used by the assigned estate agent to promote the new homes to the market. This is a fantastic way of advertising developments for sale early, while construction works are still on-going. The more content you can create to showcase the new homes, the more likely they will sell. The below images are taken from a project completed for a housing developer in Manchester. The brief was to create both external and internal CGI images, to help the estate agent show what the end result will look like to potential buyers. And we created these before they even got the houses out of the ground!
We also have great experience working with estate agents directly. See what an estate agent client said about us below!
We continue to build relationships with estate agents frequently, in hope we can become an integral part of their team.
Alex was easy to deal with from start to finish and produced five new house visuals for us. From providing the initial plans and a couple of photos Alex then quickly produced several proofs giving opportunity for adjustments, all in all great value for money and all produced in a relatively short space of time
